Overlays

Your logo, a clock or a news ticker on top of every slide in a playlist.

  1. Make the overlay

    In Design, start a design and tick Overlay in the top bar (or use + New overlay on a playlist). The background turns into a checkerboard, meaning see-through.

  2. Add what should always be on screen

    Logo, clock, a News / RSS Feed ticker, a promo badge, a bar along the bottom. Leave the middle empty so the slides underneath still show.

  3. Save it

    Overlays don't have a duration - they stay up for as long as the playlist plays.

  4. Pick it on the playlist

    Open the playlist and choose it in the Overlay dropdown at the top.

  5. Push

    Like adding a slide, the overlay only goes live when you hit Push.

  6. Refresh the screen the first time

    A screen that was already running needs one Refresh (Screens tab) to pick up overlays. After that, changes arrive on their own.

Good to know: Overlays only show on Pro Screens. On a Standard screen the playlist plays normally without it. They also hide themselves during raffle/draw takeovers, Show Remote overrides and blackouts.
